Associate Project Officer/Coordinator

Job Purpose:

This role combines project coordinating skills with educational expertise to support the development of AI-based tools for the MetaFun project, which is focused on creating AI-driven learning applications for schools and museums. The Associate Project coordinator will supervise project timelines and team coordination while also leveraging teaching experience to provide educational insights that inform the design of AI-based learning modules. This position is essential to ensuring that the AI applications not only meet technical goals but also deliver effective, personalized educational content.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor project timelines, manage risks, and resolve issues to ensure project goals are met within budget and on time.
  • Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical teams, ensuring educational goals are integrated into project planning.
  • Create and deliver progress reports to stakeholders, including data on project milestones, educational outcomes, and AI model performance.
  • Advise on the planning, execution, and successful completion of the MetaFun project, ensuring the AI-based educational tools align with learning outcomes and project milestones.
  • Collaborate with AI developers, data scientists, and educators to ensure educational components is tailored to meet the needs of students and complies with UK curriculum standards.
  • Analyze student data to enhance the accuracy and relevance of AI learning modules, using real-world educational scenarios to optimize AI-driven teaching.
  • Provide educational insights to help refine machine learning algorithms and ensure AI-generated content delivers high-quality learning experiences.

Educational Responsibilities:

  • Utilize teaching experience to ensure the AI teaching assistant is capable of accurately responding to student queries and providing relevant guidance.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in education, guiding the team on best practices for designing AI tools that simulate human-like teaching methods.
  • Contribute to the creation and evaluation of personalized learning pathways within the AI system, ensuring content is adaptive and aligned with individual learning styles.
  • Support the development of interactive AI-driven lesson plans, quizzes, and educational content, ensuring accuracy and alignment with educational objectives.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in project management, preferably in educational technology, AI, or related fields.
  • Strong background in education, with experience in teaching or tutoring students at various levels.
  • Familiarity with machine learning and AI concepts, particularly as they relate to personalized learning.
  • Ability to analyze educational data and collaborate with technical teams to create AI models that enhance student learning outcomes.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and liaise between educators and developers.
  • Knowledge of the UK curriculum and education standards is a plus.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in education/ project management/ business, IT/or a related field.
  • Teaching or tutoring experience, with a deep understanding of student learning behaviors.
  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is desirable.
  • Experience with educational technology tools or AI-based learning platforms is advantageous.
